Re-Imaging Photographs

This sequence illustrates a number of re-imaging operations: object extraction, color modification, layering, and filtering.

1. Here is the picture from which we get the truck image. 2. Truck extracted from background, flipped, and "repainted". 3. Restaurant extracted from its background. 4. New sky layered in (actually, composite of two skies to suggest morning) 5 .Truck placed on site and oriented to the surface, with shadow added under truck. 6. Finally, filters added to create the desired artistic mood; see final result below.
